Job Description

Staff Management Group is seeking a Mobile Device Tester for our client in Old Bridge, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 9:30AM - 6PM on Mondays - Thursdays
• Summer Fridays: 9:30AM - 3:30PM
• Winter Fridays: 9:30AM - 2:30PM
• Plus overtime

Pay Rate:

• $18 / hour 

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a Mobile Device Tester to inspect and classify mobile phones based on cosmetic appearance according to company SOPs. This role requires attention to detail and basic computer skills for data entry and device tracking.

Job Responsibilities:

• Examine mobile devices and classify them according to internal cosmetic grading standards
• Identify and document any physical defects, blemishes, or damage on phones
• Sort devices into appropriate categories based on inspection results
• Use basic PC programs to log device conditions and update inventory systems
• Handle and move devices carefully to prevent additional wear or damage
• Follow company SOPs and quality assurance guidelines during all evaluations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at your workstation
• Meet daily productivity and accuracy targets
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve classification questions
• Ensure all classified devices are prepared for the next step in the processing workflow

Job Requirements:

• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Windows, data entry, inventory tools)
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow written SOPs and visual classification guides
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet productivity goals
• Previous experience in electronics, warehouse, or quality inspection a plus
