Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Inpatient Hematology/Oncology- Cooperstown NY

Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network , a progressive, academic health system in central New York, a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our staff.

Description

Bassett Healthcare Network is an integrated healthcare system that provides care and service to people living in an eight-county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school-based health centers, and health partners in related fields.

Responsibilities

1. The Bassett Regional Cancer Program has been continuously accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center since 1947. The program is also a member of the ECOG-ACRIN with close to 30 years of participation in NCI and sponsored clinical trials. The program has a collaborative and multidisciplinary model, which includes onsite Radiation Oncologists, Surgical Oncologists, Pathologists and Radiologists. The program has a comprehensive support team that includes Nurse Navigators, Social Workers, Financial Counselors, a Nutritionist and Palliative Care Practitioners.
2. Inpatient Practice
3. Multi Specialty Group, Closed Medical Staff, 600+ practitioners
4. 5-day work week – 36 hours clinically & 4 hours administrative
5. Salary Range: $104,040 - $140,096 . This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
6. Sign-on Bonus up to $50,000
7. Group Employed Model

Job Qualifications

1. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant.
2. Experience/knowledge of perioperative medicine is a plus but not required.
3. NYS Licensure
4. BLS Certification Required
5. DEA Required
