Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Health Sciences Assistant will help with the everyday activities of the Division, oversee events; provide support and counsel; coordinate functions required for the efficient operation of the Division; perform diversified and advanced organizational duties; expedite material or actions requested by the division chair; and work projects to assist the organizational strategy.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Generate and document correspondence.
• Provide information and assistance in a timely and courteous manner.
• Perform data entry using Word, Excel, and Adobe software; proofread all work to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate various division/campus events.
• Coordinate and assist with hospitality for special guests as needed.
• Order items through Bellis, Nexus, Distribution, Facilities, and other vendors.
• Keep subscriptions current (magazines, memberships, and others).
• Update information and maintain records for division, academic program, and graduation requirements.
• Address needs of faculty and students as they arise (equipment, supplies, building needs, repairs, etc.).
• Assist with new program and accreditation paperwork.
• Organize the division chair’s schedule for
• Serve as a liaison to Marketing, Events, and other departments on campus as needed.

• Demonstrate organizational abilities

• Professional in appearance and presentation
• Exemplify a biblical role model for students and colleagues
