Job Description

Description Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the company's financial operations and ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting processes. As the Controller, you will play a critical role in shaping the organization's financial health and driving operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: + Lead and manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting. + Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP. + Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to senior leadership. + Manage cash flow, banking activities, and treasury functions to ensure financial stability. + Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth. + Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. + Oversee tax preparation, audits, and regulatory filings, including income tax and sales tax compliance. + Collaborate with department heads to align financial planning with business objectives and identify areas for improvement. + Support strategic initiatives by providing actionable financial insights and recommendations. + Stay informed of industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes to ensure the company's practices remain up to date. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred. + Minimum 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles. + Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. + Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks). + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and forecasting. + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization. + High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. Preferred Qualifications: + Previous experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller in industries such as manufacturing, technology, healthcare, or professional services. + Strong project management skills and experience driving process improvements.
